LAWS All too often we receive questions about the requirements and laws for School Bus vehicles. As a general rule, 14 passenger (+ 1 driver) School Buses do not require a CDL or special inspection. This section was developed to help better serve centers looking for the exact requirements in their specific state. This section will be updated frequently as each federal and state vehicle requirement changes.
